IT Helpdesk Support

About the role

We are looking for an IT Helpdesk Support professional to join our client’s support team in Muscat, Oman. The role involves providing technical assistance for computer systems, hardware and software, and ensuring timely resolution of user issues.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the ABSHAR ticketing system and resolve user‑raised incidents.
• Build and maintain a knowledge base to reduce resolution time.
• Collaborate with the team leader to create FAQs for common problems.
• Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft operating systems and applications.
• Support desktops, laptops, iPads/Tablets and manage local/network printers.
• Conduct hardware diagnostics and repairs.
• Prepare weekly and monthly support reports and site‑visit documentation.
• Travel to OETC locations across Oman as required, with transportation and accommodation covered by contract.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in a helpdesk or desktop support role.
• Professional certifications such as MS environment‑related, System Centre, ITIL Foundation, or A+ are desirable.
• Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
