IT Manager

About the role

The IT Manager provides first‑ and second‑level technical support for Marriott properties in Muscat, handling break‑fix, installations, and maintenance of IT systems. Working within established guidelines, the role ensures technology assets are secure, compliant, and aligned with budgetary targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage technology budgets, CAPEX and operating expenses, place equipment orders, process invoices, and conduct regular inventories of hardware and applications.
• Deliver end‑user support including desktop imaging, software installation, patch deployment, data migration, hardware moves, and routine backup of desktops and servers.
• Maintain server and network infrastructure (servers, switches, routers, access points) and coordinate with Marriott IT or vendors for escalated issues.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives, ensure security measures such as encryption and quarterly audits are in place.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 2‑4 years of IT experience, or a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field with 2 years of experience.
• Preferred: relevant system‑related professional certifications.
