IT Project Manager – Complex Technology Initiatives

About the role

The IT Project Manager will lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex technology initiatives for a client in Muscat, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to quality standards. The role bridges business objectives with technical execution, manages cross‑functional teams and vendor deliveries, and aligns outcomes with the organisation’s IT strategy and governance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring and closure of large‑scale enterprise technology projects.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, including seconded resources, to meet project milestones.
• Oversee vendor performance and ensure deliverables align with contractual obligations.
• Maintain PMO governance processes, portfolio reporting, risk and issue tracking, and executive dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with Omani labour law, payroll processing, statutory contributions and employee benefits.
• Manage employee lifecycle activities such as leave administration, attendance records and replacement staffing.
• Protect client confidentiality, adhere to security and access‑control policies, and support audit and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of proven IT project management experience delivering large‑scale enterprise projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Active PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification (mandatory).
• Agile/Scrum certification such as CSM, PMI‑ACP or SAFe (highly preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work within PMO governance, portfolio reporting and risk management frameworks.
