IT Specialist

About the role

The IT Specialist will oversee daily IT operations at Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC, ensuring all technology systems run efficiently, securely, and support the hotel’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot hotel IT infrastructure including computers, printers, tablets, smartphones, and network devices.
• Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software systems.
• Provide timely technical support to hotel staff and departments.
• Monitor performance of network, servers, email, and business applications.
• Maintain IT asset inventories, software licenses, and system documentation.
• Perform regular backups and support data recovery processes.
• Support hotel systems such as PMS, POS, Wi‑Fi, and guest‑facing technologies.
• Ensure compliance with IHG IT standards, cybersecurity requirements, and data protection procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in IT support, coordination, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, LAN/WAN, and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing iOS and Android devices.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
