Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will join Zuraiq Group's finance team in Masqat, Oman, supporting daily accounting operations. This full‑time, on‑site position involves recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with both accounts payable and receivable.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and update the general ledger.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Generate basic financial reports and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues.
• Support senior accounting staff in compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication in a professional environment.
• Integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality of financial information.
