Lead Post-Trade Support Specialist

About the role

The Lead Post-Trade Support Specialist will own the operational health of a new greenfield post‑trade platform in Oman. You will design the support model during the build phase and then operate and lead the team that runs the platform in production, ensuring settlement finality and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide second‑ and third‑line application support for settlement, registry, clearing and corporate actions.
• Monitor trade, settlement, corporate actions and reconciliation lifecycles, acting on exceptions before they affect participants.
• Lead incident, problem and root‑cause management, acting as the technical bridge during major incidents.
• Support and troubleshoot the messaging and integration layer (SWIFT ISO 15022 and ISO 20022).
• Manage batch estates, schedulers and settlement‑day processing, recovering any delays.
• Design the run‑phase support model, author runbooks and build the support team.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 6‑10 years of post‑trade support experience in capital markets or a comparable financial institution.
• Deep knowledge of the post‑trade lifecycle across equities, fixed income and derivatives.
• Experience with financial market infrastructure such as a CSD, CCP, exchange or settlement system is a plus.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• SWIFT ISO 15022 integration.
• SWIFT ISO 20022 integration.
• Enterprise scheduler experience (Control‑M or Autosys).
• Strong SQL, Unix/Linux command‑line and scripting.
• Python or shell scripting for automation.
• ITIL‑aligned incident, problem and change management.
