Lead Solutions Engineer

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Lead Solutions Engineer to drive business growth and deliver advanced automation and digital solutions for clients in Oman and the GCC region. The role combines sales leadership with deep technical expertise to address complex asset management and industrial challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Own order intake and growth targets for the assigned industry portfolio.
• Identify market opportunities, attend industry events and run discovery workshops to build a robust sales pipeline.
• Engage C‑level and operational executives to understand business challenges and present financial and operational value of Yokogawa solutions.
• Design and architect advanced solutions (RTO, APC, Energy Management, Modular Automation, Asset Performance, IoT, MES, Digital Twin, Predictive Maintenance, AI‑based tools).
• Collaborate with Centres of Excellence, headquarters and account teams to prepare proposals, RFP responses and proof‑of‑concepts, leading deals to closure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field; MBA is a strong plus.
• 8‑10 years of experience in sales, solution architecture or pre‑sales (overall ~15 years) within Oil & Gas, Smart Cities, Pharma, Cement, F&B, Plastic, Steel or similar sectors.
• Proven track record of winning business in Oman/GCC markets.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.
