Lifeguard

About the role

We are looking for a Lifeguard to ensure the safety and satisfaction of guests using the pool, steam rooms and health‑club facilities at Alila Jabal Akhdar. The role involves monitoring swimming activities, maintaining pool standards and providing prompt assistance when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the pool area from the lifeguard chair and never leave the pool unattended.
• Check and maintain chemical levels, temperature and cleanliness of the pool and surrounding areas.
• Welcome guests, provide towels, escort them to the sun lounge and brief them on pool rules.
• Observe swimmers for unsafe conditions, use rescue techniques and administer first aid when required.
• Maintain sun loungers, umbrellas and other equipment in proper working order.
• Report accidents, injuries and any defects to the manager and assist with safety training.
• Assist with setting up and running special events and coordinate towel collection for laundry.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments and uphold company policies, grooming and appearance standards.

• Professional, friendly and engaging attitude toward guests.
• Ability to follow company policies, emergency procedures and maintain proper grooming.
• Attention to the safety of children, elderly and disabled guests.
• Willingness to work shifts and assist the risk & security team when needed.

Required skills

• Pool chemical testing and temperature monitoring.
• Rescue techniques and water‑safety procedures.
• First‑aid administration.
