Lifting Supervisor

About the role

The Lifting Supervisor will lead all lifting activities on site, ensuring that each operation is planned, risk‑assessed and executed safely. You will work closely with the Lifting Engineer, site management and subcontractors to coordinate lifts in a high‑risk environment such as construction, oil & gas or heavy industry.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on site.
• Verify that lifting plans and risk assessments are prepared, approved and followed.
• Inspect lifting equipment, confirm certification and ensure proper condition.
• Validate competence and certification of crane operators, riggers and signalmen.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for lifting teams.
• Monitor weather and site conditions to determine safe lifting windows.
• Liaise with HSE, site management and subcontractors to plan and execute lifts safely.
• Maintain accurate records of lifting activities, incidents and equipment inspections.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in lifting operations within construction, oil & gas or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of crane operations, rigging gear and lifting accessories.
• Ability to read and interpret lifting plans, risk assessments and certification documents.
