Logistics Planner & Coordinator – Heavy Lift & Shipping

About the role

This position is responsible for planning and coordinating all logistics activities related to material movement, module transportation, and project cargo shipments. The role works closely with project teams, procurement, construction, and clients to ensure seamless execution of inbound and outbound logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop logistics plans for material movement, module transport, and oversized cargo shipments.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for fabrication projects, including route planning and shipment scheduling.
• Monitor receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials within the yard and maintain accurate tracking documentation.
• Support heavy‑lift and load‑out operations, reviewing lifting and transport studies and coordinating with marine contractors.
• Handle export/import documentation, customs clearance, and ensure compliance with Oman customs regulations.
• Track shipments, provide status updates, and maintain logistics records and inventory movement reports.
• Manage logistics contractors, transporters, and freight forwarders, verifying invoices and controlling costs.
• Ensure adherence to L&T HSE standards, participate in risk assessments, and support incident investigations.
• Prepare logistics progress reports, shipment status updates, and develop dashboards and KPIs for management review.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics planning for large‑scale or heavy‑lift projects.
• Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and relevant regulations.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across project, procurement, construction, and client teams.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with HSE standards and safety review processes.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and freight forwarding services.
