Loss Prevention Manager

About the role

The Loss Prevention Manager supports the Director of Security in overseeing daily security operations for a hotel in Nizwa, Oman. The role focuses on protecting guests, employees, and property assets while ensuring compliance with legal and corporate safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing emergency and security procedures.
• Investigate property losses and coordinate disposition with management.
• Deploy and supervise security staff to monitor and protect assets.
• Maintain logs, certifications, and required documentation.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property and parking areas.
• Inspect security equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Handle guest complaints, resolve disputes, and manage conflict situations.
• Identify hazards, recommend risk‑mitigation actions, and stay informed on local criminal activity.
• Perform employee performance appraisals and support training initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of security/loss‑prevention experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Criminal Justice (or related field) with 1 year of relevant experience.
• First‑aid and CPR certifications required for security officers.
• Ability to conduct investigations, write reports, and follow corporate SOPs.

Required skills

• Knowledge of security operations and emergency response procedures.
• Experience with loss investigation and incident reporting.
• Proficiency in using and maintaining security equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and local authority requirements.
