Market Development Executive – Oman

About the role

Amalfi Foods is seeking a proactive, commercially‑driven Market Development Executive to lead the company’s growth across Oman. Based in Muscat, you will work closely with the appointed distributor, providing direct visibility on market performance, customer development, retail execution and competitor activity.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the distributor to achieve sales targets and monitor KPI performance.
• Identify and develop new customers, retail groups, channels and growth opportunities, including expansion beyond Muscat.
• Conduct regular store visits to ensure product availability, proper shelf positioning, pricing, promotions and merchandising.
• Track sales by customer, SKU and channel, flag under‑performing items and devise corrective actions.
• Monitor inventory, stock ageing, returns and expiry risks, supporting optimal stock rotation.
• Support monthly sales forecasting and coordinate market requirements with headquarters in Bahrain.
• Gather market intelligence on competitor pricing, promotions, packaging, new launches and consumer trends.

Required profile

• Proactive and commercially driven mindset.
• Strong understanding of the Oman FMCG market.
• Comfortable working independently in a hands‑on, field‑based environment.
• Ability to build relationships with distributors, retailers and key customers.
