Mechanical Supervisor

About the role

Mechanical Supervisor Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG is looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in Oman.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical maintenance activities and technicians.
• Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose breakdowns and coordinate timely repairs.
• Carry out and supervise maintenance, alignment and overhauling of mechanical equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and maintain maintenance records.
• Coordinate maintenance spares, tools and consumables.
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with LOTO requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in operation and maintenance projects.
• Strong experience in maintenance of mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Experience supervising and coordinating a team of technicians.
• Good knowledge of maintenance tools, safety procedures and LOTO.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with pumps, compressors, valves, blowers, conveyors, gearboxes and piping systems.
• Knowledge of pump alignment, mechanical seals, bearings, priming, cavitation and overhauling.
• Experience in plumbing, water treatment, drainage, irrigation, kitchen/laundry equipment and related building services.
• Familiarity with MS, GI, HDPE and PVC piping systems.
• Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
