Middleware Specialist – IBM ACE & MQ (Banking)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Middleware Specialist to design, develop, and support integration solutions for a leading banking client in Oman. The role focuses on IBM middleware technologies, ensuring seamless communication between critical banking applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex integration services and APIs using IBM App Connect Enterprise (formerly IBM Integration Bus), IBM MQ, IBM DataPower, and IBM API Connect.
• Provide technical support for integration projects, including configuration fixes, code fixes, end‑to‑end testing, user acceptance testing, performance, and security testing.
• Monitor middleware systems, perform routine maintenance, and respond to emergency incidents outside normal business hours.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for production incidents and follow escalation procedures to meet resolution targets.
• Implement and manage security processes in line with bank and data‑privacy policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in design, development, and support of IT software solutions.
• At least 6 years of hands‑on experience with IBM integration products.
• Banking domain experience is preferred.
