NDT Technician – PCN Level 2 (Ultrasonic 3.1.3.2)

About the role

The NDT Technician will perform ultrasonic inspections using the PCN Level 2 3.1.3.2 technique for weld quality assessment in the oil and gas sector. The role includes equipment setup, calibration, report preparation and adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ultrasonic inspection using the 3.1.3.2 technique.
• Set up inspection equipment and conduct system calibrations (static and dynamic) before, during and after each inspection.
• Read codes and acceptance criteria to evaluate weld quality and decide accept/reject.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports using the approved format.
• Maintain all inspection equipment throughout the work cycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years solid experience in phased‑array ultrasonic testing within the oil and gas industry.
• Demonstrated ability to follow company safety, health, environmental and quality procedures.
