Operations Manager - Facilities Management

About the role

Careers International is looking for an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its facility management services. The role ensures operational efficiency, quality service delivery and client satisfaction while managing a team of professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the operations team and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and standards.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, resolving issues and building long-term relationships.
• Recruit, train and supervise operations staff, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement workflows that optimise resources, minimise costs and maximise productivity.
• Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, identify areas for improvement and take corrective action.
• Set up quality control measures so service delivery meets or exceeds client expectations and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations through regular inspections and audits.
• Manage external vendors and subcontractors, negotiate contracts and monitor performance against service level agreements.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecast expenses, analyse variances and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Drive process optimisation and innovation, and prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10-12 years of experience in operations management or related roles within the facilities management industry.
• Proven track record of leadership, team management and operational excellence.
• Strong understanding of facility management practices, processes and regulations.
