Operations Manager – Local Shops

About the role

Talabat is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and optimise the Local Shops business. You will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, managing vendor relationships and building a high‑performing local operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and improve Local Shops operations through vendor management, process optimisation and best‑practice implementation.
• Oversee internal teams (Vendor Content, Vendor Operations) and outsourced content‑scanning teams.
• Accountable for commercial and operational KPIs, collaborating closely with the Head of Local Shops on strategy and targets.
• Partner with Sales to align on strategy, priorities and growth opportunities.
• Work with Regional Ops as the local market stakeholder, highlighting opportunities and sharing initiatives.
• Analyse data to scope and deliver initiatives that improve operational metrics.
• Lead, train and motivate the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of operational experience, preferably in grocery, food or tech environments.
• Proven track record in cost control, warehouse operations, inventory management and root‑cause analysis.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions.
• Experience in direct line management and building high‑performing teams.
