OutSystems Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced OutSystems Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade applications on the OutSystems platform. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, high‑performance solutions while ensuring maintainability and alignment with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design enterprise‑grade applications on the OutSystems platform with emphasis on scalability, security, performance and maintainability.
• Lead end‑to‑end solution design across OutSystems Reactive Web, Traditional Web, Mobile and integration layers.
• Define application architecture, module structure, reusable components, service layers, data models and integration patterns.
• Design and implement integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, APIs and authentication frameworks.
• Optimize database models, entities, aggregates, advanced SQL queries and perform performance tuning for large‑scale applications.
• Guide development teams on coding standards, architecture governance, code reviews, deployment practices, CI/CD and performance optimization.
• Ensure enterprise security compliance, including RBAC, SSO, OAuth/SAML, data protection and secure application design.

Required profile

• 8+ years of overall software development experience.
• 4+ years of hands‑on OutSystems development experience.
• Prior experience as an OutSystems Tech Lead or Solution Architect.
• Experience in banking, government, telecom or large‑enterprise projects is preferred.
• Must hold or be eligible for the OutSystems Architecture Specialist certification for OutSystems 11 or OutSystems Developer Cloud.
• Prerequisite certifications: OutSystems 11 Associate Reactive Developer or ODC Associate ODC Developer.
