Paediatric Neuropsychologist (Oman)

About the role

Our client, a leading multi‑specialty hospital group in Oman, seeks an experienced Paediatric Neuropsychologist to conduct comprehensive assessments and interventions for children and adolescents with developmental, behavioural, cognitive, learning, and neurological conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct full paediatric psychological and neuropsychological assessments, covering cognition, emotion, behaviour, attention, memory, executive function and learning.
• Assess children with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury and other neurological disorders.
• Administer, score and interpret standardized assessment tools and produce detailed clinical reports with recommendations.
• Provide counselling and support to children and their parents/caregivers, explaining results and intervention plans.
• Collaborate with paediatricians, neurologists, speech, occupational and physiotherapists, and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and adhere to professional and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology; additional training in Neuropsychology preferred.
• Valid professional licence/registration as a Clinical Psychologist in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Paediatric Neuropsychology, including assessment of ASD, ADHD, developmental delays and other neurological conditions.
• Strong clinical assessment, report‑writing and counselling abilities, with a child‑friendly approach.
