Permit Issuer / Verifier

About the role

The Permit Issuer / Verifier manages and verifies work permits so that site activities are carried out safely and in line with approved permit requirements and site procedures. The role needs strong coordination with site teams and the ability to work on a rotational project schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Issue and verify work permits for site activities according to approved procedures.
• Review permit requirements, work scope, hazards and required controls before authorisation.
• Coordinate with supervisors and work teams about permit conditions and requirements.
• Check that necessary safety precautions and controls are in place before work starts.
• Monitor permit compliance during ongoing activities.
• Ensure permits are properly closed when work is completed or suspended.
• Maintain permit records and related documentation.
• Communicate permit requirements clearly to site personnel and support safe, compliant execution of project activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in a technical field or equivalent.
• Relevant experience as a Permit Issuer / Verifier.
• Oman driving licence or any Gulf driving licence is mandatory.
• Ability to work on a 2 months on / 15 days unpaid off rotation.
• Willingness to work in a site / project environment.

Required skills

• Strong communication, coordination and documentation skills.
• Good understanding of work permit requirements and site safety procedures.
