Pharmacist – Permanent Position in Oman

About the role

We are seeking a qualified pharmacist to join our team in Oman. The role involves dispensing prescription medications accurately, providing patient counseling, and ensuring compliance with Ministry of Health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely according to physician orders.
• Review prescriptions for correct dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and potential allergies.
• Provide patients with clear instructions on medication usage, dosage, precautions, and possible side effects.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, dispensing activities, and inventory.
• Monitor and manage pharmaceutical stock, including ordering, storage, and expiry‑date checks.
• Ensure compliance with Oman Ministry of Health regulations and pharmacy standards.
• Support proper handling, storage, and disposal of medicines and controlled substances.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication‑related matters.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
• Offer guidance and customer service to patients regarding medications and healthcare products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or equivalent.
• Valid Oman Ministry of Health (MOH) Pharmacist License – mandatory.
• Relevant experience in a hospital, clinic, community pharmacy, or similar healthcare setting (preferred).
• Good knowledge of pharmaceutical practices, medication safety, and dispensing procedures.
