Planning Engineer (P6 Scheduler)

About the role

Galfar Engg. & Contracting SAOG is hiring a full-time Planning Engineer in Muscat. The role covers preparing and maintaining the project baseline schedule in P6, reporting project progress and preparing documents for claims, audits and resource planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update the project baseline schedule in P6, including revisions and supporting documents for submission to the client and consultant.
• Review schedule revisions and updates with the consultant and client for approval.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on project statistics for the consultant, client and management.
• Prepare supporting documents such as impact schedules needed for time extension claims submitted to the contracts department.
• Maintain the project resource database and prepare monthly rolling projections of manpower and equipment to be submitted through the ERP.
• Compile and submit the daily progress report to the project manager and unit head.
• Prepare and maintain project documents required by the MSP for corporate QHSE audits and attend auditors when scheduled.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in a relevant field.
