Portfolio Manager – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

Mindrift is seeking experienced finance professionals to work on project‑based AI training tasks. You will design and evaluate test cases that help improve AI systems used by leading tech companies in the investment management space.

Key responsibilities

• Design Quarterly Business Review scenarios, comparing performance against benchmarks and allocation drift.
• Create rebalancing and tax‑loss harvesting test cases, handling cost basis, capital gains classifications, and wash‑sale rule applications.
• Develop suitability check cases that assess risk tolerance, time horizon, prohibited holdings, and concentration limits against client Investment Policy Statements.
• Construct fee‑stack analysis cases, calculating portfolio‑weighted expense ratios, advisory fees, and all‑in costs versus benchmarks.
• Document each test case with verified calculations, policy citations, and correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in finance, investment, accounting or financial services.
• Recent experience in advisory, portfolio management or adjacent roles.
• Strong written English (C1+).
• Professional credentials such as CFA, CFP, CPWA, CIMA or CIPM are a plus.
