Principal Reservoir Engineer

About the role

The Principal Reservoir Engineer will provide technical leadership for reservoir engineering and dynamic simulation across our upstream assets in Oman. You will drive reservoir management, reserves maturation, production optimization and field development planning through integrated engineering workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and interpret well tests, conduct decline curve, material balance and rate‑transient analyses.
• Oversee subsurface surveillance, well performance tracking, fluid sampling, testing and workover activities.
• Lead PVT and SCAL laboratory experiments, manage data quality and develop EOS models and Black Oil tables.
• Build, initialize, history‑match and forecast dynamic reservoir simulation models to support development decisions.
• Identify, evaluate and mature IOR/EOR opportunities from screening to pilot design.
• Manage annual reserves certification in line with company and industry standards.
• Collaborate with geoscience, drilling, production, facilities and economics teams.

Required profile

• Senior‑level reservoir engineering experience in oil & gas upstream.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver technically robust solutions.
• Strong understanding of Omani regulatory and HSE requirements.
