Project Manager (Design) – Oman

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Design) to lead major infrastructure and master‑planning projects in Oman from concept through design, procurement and construction support. The role combines multidisciplinary expertise in transport, roads, utilities and design management with strong leadership in consultant or PMC environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure and master‑planning projects across all phases.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks and quality.
• Direct and coordinate design teams covering roads, highways, transportation planning, utilities, drainage, structures, landscape and environmental disciplines.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, stakeholders, government authorities and utility providers.
• Oversee design reviews, technical approvals, value‑engineering and constructability assessments.
• Manage tender documentation, procurement support, bid evaluations and consultant/contractor coordination.
• Lead project governance, reporting, risk management and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, authority requirements and international standards.
• Support business development, technical proposals and client presentations.
• Mentor project managers and technical teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of professional experience in infrastructure and project delivery.
• At least 10 years in project‑management leadership roles.
• Proven delivery of large‑scale transport, roads, urban infrastructure, utilities and master‑planning projects.
• Experience managing complex multidisciplinary teams in consultant, PMC or PMCM settings.
• Background working in GCC countries, with Oman‑specific project and stakeholder exposure preferred.
