Purchasing and Logistics Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Purchasing and Logistics Specialist to join ATU Duty Free in Salalah. The role ensures smooth supply‑chain operations, strong vendor partnerships, and consistent product availability for our international customers. You will analyse category performance, manage supplier relationships and coordinate logistics to support an exceptional shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead category performance reviews using data and consumer insights to identify trends and opportunities.
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, payment terms and promotions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to purchase, introduce new products, expand categories and refresh assortments.
• Monitor inventory levels, track stock movement, identify overstocks, shortages and near‑expiry items, and take corrective actions.
• Plan and supervise ordering cycles, place accurate orders and ensure product availability while avoiding overstock or stock‑outs.
• Support category strategy by defining product positioning, enhancing visibility and driving sales conversion.
• Coordinate with operations, finance and warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock planning and replenishment.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on stock, sales performance, customs requirements and category profitability.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain or logistics, preferably in retail or duty‑free.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and consumer insights.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills and collaborative approach.
• Willingness to relocate to Salalah, Oman if not already based locally.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
