Purchasing Manager – Finance (Luxury Hotel)

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manager Purchasing – Finance to join Jumeirah Muscat Bay, a luxury resort in Muscat, Oman.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the hotel’s purchasing activities, ensuring all departments receive goods, equipment, and services on time, within budget, and to Jumeirah’s quality standards.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suitable suppliers by comparing product quality, pricing, availability, and service reliability while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Negotiate competitive prices, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment terms to achieve best value without compromising luxury standards.
• Review purchase requisitions and oversee purchase orders, ensuring compliance with budgets, authorisation requirements, procurement policies, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with departmental leaders, Finance, Receiving, and Stores to plan purchasing needs, resolve delivery or quality issues, and monitor supplier performance.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, analyse purchasing costs and market trends, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation through alternative sourcing and improved practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Purchasing Manager, preferably within luxury hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, inventory management, and purchasing systems.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Strong organisational and analytical abilities with knowledge of the local supplier market.
