Reefer Technician – Port & Container Terminal Operations

About the role

New Alfa International is seeking experienced Reefer Technicians to support its port and container terminal operations in Muscat, Oman. The role focuses on maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing refrigerated container systems to ensure reliable cold-chain performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on reefer units and associated HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, refrigeration and electrical faults in container cooling systems.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Coordinate with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior maintenance staff.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in port terminal or container handling environments.
• Proven background in reefer maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently.
• Good command of English; GCC experience preferred.
