Regional Financial Controller

About the role

The Regional Financial Controller will lead the financial strategy for a leading real‑estate group in Oman, supporting long‑term growth and regional expansion. Reporting directly to the executive team and board, the role combines strategic planning, risk oversight, and capital optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the group’s financial strategy aligned with long‑term objectives.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis to drive sustainable profitability.
• Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS and ensure timely reporting.
• Identify, assess and mitigate financial risks while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and capital expenditures to preserve liquidity.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, money‑market activities and M&A projects.
• Lead, mentor and build a high‑performance finance team.
• Present financial insights to senior leadership and the board of directors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Preferred certifications: CPA, CMA, CFA or an MBA.
• 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 4 years as a Financial Controller in Oman or a senior executive role.
• Strong background in real‑estate, real‑estate development or investment sectors; experience in trading or hospitality is a plus.
• Fluent English; Arabic or Hindi are advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS, taxation and financial regulations.
