Reservoir Engineering Manager

About the role

The Reservoir Engineering Manager will lead the maturation of hydrocarbon reserves and resources across Energy Oman’s subsidiaries. This senior position ensures that reserve evaluations, field development plans, and technical assurances align with corporate strategy and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee reserve and resource volumes, including external audits and independent evaluations.
• Conduct assessments and updates of reserve and resource estimates as required.
• Identify opportunities to grow or accelerate reserve and resource maturation.
• Supervise preparation, review, and approval of Field Development Plans (FDPs) ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical assurance for all hydrocarbon maturation activities and represent the company in value assurance reviews.
• Review business plans and proposals from subsidiaries, offering reservoir engineering input and strategic recommendations.
• Manage external consultancy contracts and ensure successful delivery by third‑party contractors.
• Collaborate with Asset Management & Planning, subsidiaries, shareholders, joint‑venture partners, and regulators to facilitate effective communication.
