Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Restaurant Manager will lead the food and beverage operations of Mandarin Oriental Muscat, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction in a luxury resort environment. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will oversee daily restaurant activities, coordinate private events, and uphold the brand’s high standards of quality and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day operations of restaurant staff, facilities, sales and cost control.
• Monitor product and service quality, taking corrective action to maintain standards.
• Track guest satisfaction metrics and respond promptly to feedback.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Participate in service operations as required, adhering to operational procedures.
• Coordinate guest reservations, private functions and banquet arrangements.
• Develop and deliver on‑the‑job training and pre‑service briefings for the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing restaurant or food‑and‑beverage operations in a luxury hotel setting.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills with a focus on coaching and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with guests, suppliers and internal departments.
• Ability to analyse financial data, control costs and drive profitability.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality service and maintaining brand standards.
