Sales Manager

About the role

The Sales Manager at voco Muscat Al Mouj is responsible for driving revenue through proactive sales efforts, relationship building and market development across corporate, MICE, government and leisure segments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across assigned market segments.
• Source and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients to generate business opportunities.
• Conduct client visits, sales calls, site inspections and participate in industry events to promote the hotel’s offerings.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, contracts and presentations tailored to client requirements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market trends, competitor activities and customer behaviours.
• Collaborate with Revenue and Marketing teams to develop promotional packages, campaigns and pricing strategies.
• Accurately maintain sales reports, client databases (e.g., Delphi, Opera Sales & Catering) and sales activity logs.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual individual and team targets set by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
• Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Support the development of junior sales team members and share best practices.
• Ensure compliance with IHG policies, local regulations and brand standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of proven sales experience in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel environment.
• Strong track record of achieving revenue targets and managing corporate, MICE, government or leisure accounts.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with revenue, marketing and operations teams.
• Knowledge of IHG brand standards and local market dynamics.
