Senior Accountant & Billing Officer

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing law firm in Oman, is looking for a Senior Accountant & Billing Officer to lead the firm’s accounting and legal billing functions. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, manage cash flow, and support the firm’s revenue generation through timely invoicing and collections.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, fixed‑asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Process payroll, staff reimbursements and ensure statutory deductions.
• Issue client invoices based on timesheets, fixed‑fee and retainer agreements; follow up on outstanding payments.
• Coordinate billing matters with lawyers and partners, and generate revenue reports for management.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and liaise with external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 6‑8+ years of experience in accounting, billing or finance administration, preferably in a law or professional services firm.
• Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Omani tax, VAT and financial reporting requirements.
• Fluent English; Arabic preferred.
