Senior Audit Associate – FY'24 (Oman)

About the role

KPMG is seeking a Senior Audit Associate to lead audit engagements for medium and small clients in Oman for FY'24, and to act as a semi‑senior on larger accounts. The role combines technical audit delivery with mentorship of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for audit engagements, planning, budgeting and execution.
• Mentor and guide assistants, associates and trainees, ensuring smooth office orientation.
• Prepare and review audit reports, annual financial statements, management letters and key feature memoranda.
• Conduct analytical reviews, consolidations and focus audits on high‑risk areas such as accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, inventory and investments.
• Maintain client relationships, attend stock counts, and perform compliance testing.
• Ensure all review notes are cleared, documentation is up‑to‑date and engagements are wrapped up according to KPMG policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent.
• Professional qualification: ACCA (minimum 9 papers), CPA (2 papers) or ICAEW (Professional Stage) preferred.
• 2‑3+ years post‑graduate audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and audit methodology.
• Excellent analytical ability, customer focus and communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
