Senior DevOps Engineer – 12+ month contract in Oman

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Platform Support Engineer – DevOps with 5‑7 years of experience in managing and supporting containerised application platforms. The role involves platform operations, deployment support, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining high availability of enterprise applications on Kubernetes‑based environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support Kubernetes clusters, Pods, containers, and platform infrastructure.
• Perform container lifecycle management, deployment, scaling, and maintenance activities.
• Utilize Ansible for automation, configuration management, and operational tasks.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and availability using enterprise monitoring and logging tools.
• Analyze logs, troubleshoot production issues, and drive timely incident resolution.
• Support application deployments and release activities through Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure smooth platform operations.
• Implement operational best practices for stability, reliability, and performance optimisation.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in Platform Support, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
• Experience working in production support and 24x7 operational environments (preferred).
