Senior Field Operator – Upstream Production

About the role

Renco S.p.A. is looking for experienced Senior Field Operators to support upstream oil & gas production at a remote field site in Oman. The role focuses on safe, reliable, and efficient field production while ensuring compliance with HSE and operational standards in a challenging desert environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor upstream production facilities and well operations safely and efficiently.
• Conduct field surveillance activities such as oil sampling, well testing, sonolog surveys, and water‑flood monitoring.
• Monitor artificial lift systems, production performance, and ensure compliance with PTW, SIMOPS, LOTO, and SOP procedures.
• Act as Area Authority for PTW activities when required and support well commissioning and production start‑up.
• Coordinate emergency and night‑shift operations, handling H2S and NORM‑related hazards.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation logic diagrams.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to maintain uninterrupted production.
• Maintain accurate operational reports and documentation in line with company and international standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of upstream production operations experience, including at least 5 years in a senior field operator role.
• Strong leadership, coordination and communication skills; ability to work independently in remote desert locations.
• Experience managing emergency operational situations is preferred.
