Senior Financial Controller

About the role

RQMNA is looking for a Senior Financial Controller to become the financial and accounting brain of a company that powers sovereign platforms used by governments and large enterprises. Based on‑site in Muscat, you will own end‑to‑end accounting, finance reporting, cash management and deal analysis for a business operating at national scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), ensuring speed and accuracy.
• Provide proactive reporting on margins, cash, commitments and risks, always attaching solutions.
• Drive financial analysis including profitability, cost structure, pricing support and scenario modelling.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new ventures and lead financial due diligence for acquisitions.
• Negotiate payment terms, banking facilities, credit lines and guarantees to fund large‑scale delivery.
• Design and maintain internal control environment, policies, segregation of duties and approval frameworks.
• Manage external audit, tax and statutory compliance end‑to‑end.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital and treasury discipline across major vendor and program commitments.
• Implement finance systems stack: ERP, planning and consolidation tools, and automated reporting.
• Build and mentor the accounting and finance team as the company scales.

Required profile

• Proven experience as the financial leader of a scaling technology or enterprise services company, covering both accounting and finance.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, especially revenue recognition for long‑term, milestone‑based contracts.
• Track record of proactive problem‑solving and clear communication of financial insights.
• Experience negotiating with banks and vendors to protect cash and margins.
• Ability to run feasibility studies, financial due diligence and valuation of acquisitions.
• Strong focus on designing internal controls from the outset.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance with a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA or equivalent).
• Fluent English; Arabic is a valuable advantage.
