Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

ATMTA is building a High Precision Training, Research, Development, and Production Center for the energy sector in Muscat. We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own the end‑to‑end production process that transforms exotic alloys into mission‑critical oil and gas components.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete machining process for valves, wellheads, trees, manifolds and flow‑control equipment, from raw forging or bar to qualified finished part.
• Program and optimise multi‑axis DMG MORI turn‑mill (NTX, CTX TC, DMU, DMC) and equivalent tier‑one CNC platforms (Mazak, Okuma, Hermle, GROB) using CAM tools such as hyperMILL or NX.
• Ensure compliance with product codes and standards: API 6A, 6D, 6DSS, 600, 602, 598; ASME B16.34, B16.5, B16.47, Y14.5; ASTM material specifications and NACE MR0175.
• Develop routings, work instructions, fixturing and tooling strategies under API Q1, and conduct first‑article inspections and valve testing.
• Drive quality at the source through capability studies, statistical process control and continuous improvement.
• Mentor apprentice manufacturing engineers, define competency milestones and certify them to production‑ready standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience engineering machining processes in a live production environment.
• Strong expertise with DMG MORI multi‑axis machines and tier‑one CNC platforms.
• Deep knowledge of API, ASME and ASTM standards relevant to oil‑and‑gas components.
• Hands‑on experience with corrosion‑resistant and high‑strength alloys (Inconel, stainless steels, etc.).
• Track record taking new products from first article through qualification in a certified shop.
• Passion for developing people and turning apprentices into capable engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
