Senior Mechanical Rotating Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Rotating Engineer to lead the engineering of rotating equipment across the full project lifecycle in the oil & gas sector. The role involves technical leadership, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and hands‑on support from design through commissioning and start‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and review mechanical rotating equipment engineering deliverables throughout project execution.
• Provide technical support during engineering, construction, installation, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and start‑up phases.
• Review contractor and vendor documentation for compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and international standards.
• Support technical evaluations, deviation management, engineering clarifications, and design optimisation activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful integration of rotating equipment packages.
• Monitor installation quality, alignment, leveling, lubrication, preservation, and mechanical completion activities.
• Support commissioning, performance testing, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and start‑up readiness.
• Interface with vendors, contractors, operations, and commissioning teams to resolve technical issues and achieve project milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the oil & gas industry focused on rotating equipment engineering.
• Proven experience with gas turbines, compressors, and rotating equipment packages.
• Strong exposure to EPC/EPCIC projects, offshore facilities, and commissioning/start‑up activities.
• Solid understanding of international mechanical engineering codes and standards.
• Leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience working in complex, multinational project environments.
• Fluent in English.
