Senior SAP Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) Consultant

About the role

The Senior SAP Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) Consultant will support upstream oil & gas organisations by designing, configuring and implementing SAP JVA solutions that comply with joint operating agreements and industry accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end SAP JVA implementation and enhancement projects from requirements gathering to go‑live support.
• Facilitate workshops with finance, joint‑venture and business stakeholders to capture and validate requirements.
• Configure SAP JVA, ownership management, venture structures, equity groups, recovery, billing and settlement processes.
• Design solutions aligned with Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs) and partner accounting requirements.
• Collaborate with SAP FICO, PRA, MM, PM and Asset Management teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop functional specifications and support technical development as needed.
• Lead testing cycles (SIT, UAT) and manage defect resolution.
• Support data migration, cut‑over planning and post‑go‑live activities.
• Provide best‑practice guidance for joint‑venture accounting and hydrocarbon asset management.
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to business users and support teams.
• Maintain senior stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• 8+ years of SAP consulting experience with a focus on Joint Venture Accounting.
• Proven end‑to‑end SAP JVA implementation experience in the upstream oil & gas sector.
• Strong stakeholder management and client‑facing abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
