Senior Site Engineer – I&C for Power Plants (CCGT)

About the role

WSP is looking for a Senior Site Engineer specializing in Instrumentation & Control (I&C) to oversee electrical, instrumentation, metering, telecommunication, cyber‑security, fire detection and security system installations on closed/open cycle gas turbine and sub‑station projects. You will ensure all work complies with industry standards, project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage I&C activities from design through construction, ensuring compliance with contracts, codes and local regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, site staff and contractors to develop schedules, monitor milestones and report progress.
• Review method statements, installation drawings, testing procedures and de‑commissioning studies.
• Provide technical support during construction, resolve discrepancies and guide EPC/contractors on corrective actions.
• Conduct inspections, testing and commissioning of electrical and I&C systems, including loop checks and performance verification.
• Prepare progress reports, as‑built documentation and ensure timely completion within budget.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in I&C engineering for power‑plant or sub‑station projects.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards and local regulations.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage project schedules.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
