Senior Software Engineer

About the role

The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, implement and support secure, scalable, high‑quality software that powers the bank’s digital products and technology services. This role leads complex initiatives, establishes engineering best practices and works closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, maintainable and high‑performing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and coach software engineers through design reviews, knowledge sharing and professional development.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in architecture, development processes, automation and operational efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation, development standards and operational procedures for sustainable lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with technology policies, information‑security standards, regulatory requirements and engineering governance.
• Lead delivery of complex software initiatives, promoting quality, automation and secure development practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 6 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production‑grade applications.
• Proven ability to design, develop and support scalable enterprise solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience working in a regulated financial environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in one or more modern languages such as Python, Java, Go, TypeScript or Dart.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices and distributed, cloud‑native applications.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, data modelling and API integration.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, containerisation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and version‑control, automated testing, secure coding, code reviews and release management.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning or intelligent automation solutions is preferred.
