About the role
The Shift Charge Engineer oversees operational activities during each shift at a water desalination and power generation plant, ensuring efficiency, productivity and safety while meeting production targets.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise shift team to achieve production targets and maintain safe operations.
- Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot abnormalities and coordinate corrective actions.
- Provide technical guidance on process optimisation and support maintenance activities.
- Administer SAP processes for planning, scheduling and data management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and environmental procedures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years experience in water desalination and power generation plants.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Required skills
- Knowledge of plant equipment used in desalination and power generation.
- Working knowledge of SAP (preferred).
- Familiarity with New IMS system (preferred).
- Project management capabilities.
