SOC Analyst (Level 1) – Remote (Oman)

About the role

KalSoft is seeking an entry‑level SOC Analyst (Level 1) to support security monitoring and incident handling during non‑business hours, weekends and holidays. The role involves continuous event monitoring, incident detection, escalation and documentation, and supporting senior analysts and SOC management.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security events during non‑business hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Detect, analyze, investigate, and report qualified security incidents according to defined SLAs.
• Provide actionable recommendations and respond to queries regarding active or closed incidents.
• Escalate incidents promptly to the Shift Lead or L2 Analyst when required.
• Maintain detailed incident, escalation, and shift‑handover logs.
• Support L2 Analyst and SOC Manager in preparing daily and weekly monitoring summaries.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with a genuine interest in Security Operations and SOC activities.
• Basic understanding of security monitoring, incident detection, investigation, and escalation.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work during non‑business hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to follow defined SLAs, procedures, and escalation processes.

• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• CompTIA CySA+ certification.
• CEH certification.
