About the role
Newrest is seeking a Sourcing Officer to manage food item procurement for its Oman operations. The role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and supports the end‑to‑end value chain from raw material purchase to delivery at remote sites.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate and develop new suppliers or alternative products that meet business requirements.
- Conduct market research, benchmark supplies and compare prices to uncover cost‑saving opportunities.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery conditions with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with Oman import regulations and maintain knowledge of the local raw‑food market.
Required profile
- Higher diploma with relevant experience in sourcing, procurement or international purchasing within the GCC, preferably already based in Oman.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Hindi or Arabic is a plus.
- Proven negotiation experience and familiarity with Oman import regulations.
