Stewarding Supervisor – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Stewarding Supervisor leads the stewarding team in a busy hotel environment, ensuring that all cleaning and banquet support activities run smoothly and meet the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and assist stewards to optimise clean‑up processes.
• Monitor water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning, documenting results.
• Assist with banquet plate‑ups and support cooks with required items.
• Transport and stock banquet and buffet areas, returning cleaned items to proper locations.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Enforce company safety, security and sanitation policies; report incidents.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold guest service standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant hospitality experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking and reaching for extended periods.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing equipment and related cleaning tools.
• Knowledge of water temperature and chemical level monitoring.
• Understanding of safety, sanitation and hospitality standards.
