Technical Services Manager

About the role

SalamAir is seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead and optimise technical operations across the airline’s fleet. The role oversees structures, interiors, systems, avionics, maintenance planning, powerplants, warranty, reliability, and technical records, ensuring safety, compliance and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the preparation and management of technical data, documents and correspondence for manufacturers, repair agencies and suppliers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical publications and ensure accurate amendments.
• Supervise engineering software updates and IT equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Supply Chain and Legal teams to provide contractual expertise for technical projects.
• Negotiate contract changes, resolve disputes and ensure proper contract closure.
• Support the Director of Engineering in proposal preparation, cost estimation and contract negotiations.
• Ensure the Aircraft Maintenance Programme aligns with MRB reports, Type Certificate Holder recommendations, operational experience and Oman CAA requirements.
• Monitor Airworthiness Directive activity to guarantee compliance with mandatory airworthiness standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading cross‑functional technical teams in an airline or aviation environment.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, maintenance planning and reliability programmes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices.
