Unit Head - Transaction Banking

About the role

The Unit Head – Transaction Banking will lead the strategy, growth and delivery of cash management, payments and trade finance services for corporate and institutional clients. Reporting to senior banking leadership, the role is responsible for driving revenue, enhancing client experience and ensuring regulatory compliance while championing innovative, technology‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a Transaction Banking strategy aligned with overall corporate banking objectives.
• Identify market opportunities, analyse industry trends and develop business plans to increase product penetration and market share.
• Drive revenue through pricing, product optimisation and cross‑selling, meeting fee, CASA and transaction volume targets.
• Oversee product lifecycle management for cash management, payments and trade finance, ensuring competitiveness and client‑centricity.
• Lead digital initiatives, automation and straight‑through processing to improve operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain relationships with key corporate and institutional clients, supporting relationship managers in solution design.
• Collaborate with IT and Digital teams to implement innovative solutions and reduce manual interventions.

Required profile

• Omani national.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of banking experience, including at least 5 years in Transaction Banking or Corporate Banking.
