Urology Specialist – 4-5 Years Experience

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Urology Specialist to join a 25‑bed hospital in the IBRI region of Oman. The role involves managing outpatient and inpatient urology services as well as handling basic urological emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage common urology cases such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia and hematuria.
• Respond to emergencies including acute urinary retention, renal colic, urosepsis and clot retention.
• Perform catheterisation (including difficult cases), suprapubic catheterisation and DJ stent removal.
• Assist or perform basic endoscopic procedures like cystoscopy and ureteric stenting.
• Coordinate with surgeons and emergency department staff and refer complex cases appropriately.

Required profile

• MBBS with MS/DNB in General Surgery.
• MCh or DNB in Urology (or equivalent).
• 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably 4–5 years.
• Ability to work independently in managing basic urology emergencies.
