Valve Testing Inspector

About the role

The Valve Testing Inspector is responsible for the inspection, testing and verification of a wide range of valves used in offshore projects. Working within a fabrication yard, the role ensures that all valves meet project specifications, international codes and client requirements before they are released for service. The inspector will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to guarantee compliance with safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of valves to confirm material type, size, rating, class, end connections and compliance with approved datasheets and purchase orders.
• Carry out in‑process inspection and testing of gate, globe, check, ball, butterfly, control, choke and special‑purpose valves.
• Verify name‑plate details, markings and traceability against material test certificates (MTCs) and bills of material (BOM).
• Assess suitability of valves for offshore service conditions including pressure, temperature and corrosion resistance.
• Document inspection results, preservation actions and test reports in accordance with project procedures.
• Ensure all valves comply with client requirements and applicable international codes.
